The Story of Ernie Petersen
One of my most meaningful projects was a film I created about my grandpa’s life. Over the course of five in-depth interviews, I wove together his stories, memories, and milestones into a narrative that captures both his history and his personality. I also created several shorter stories from his life with some funny and tragic moments.

On our family trip to Kauai, I set out to capture the experience in a way that felt authentic and cinematic. Between hikes, beach days, and spontaneous moments, I filmed everything from sweeping landscapes to quiet family interactions, creating a visual record of the trip that feels both personal and polished. The result is a collection of footage that preserves the warmth, beauty, and little stories that made the trip unforgettable.
A Proposal to Remember
My proposal was the result of months of planning, scouting, and timing. With my friend Chris hiding as a photographer, everything aligned perfectly, especially when Tracey unknowingly suggested the exact hike I had already chosen. As the sun dipped behind the mountains, I guided her to the spot, dropped to one knee, and captured the perfect photo to remember forever.
